In 2023-24 alone, the global Muslim community faced over 50 significant emergencies requiring swift and effective responses.
Australia’s Muslim community was actively involved in fundraising for these global emergencies, through the tireless efforts of locally-based charities and the local arms of international Islamic NGOs.
This waqf fundallows Awqaf Australia to mobilise quickly, providing critical funding for food, shelter, and medical aid. By leveraging the sustainability of waqf investments and our extensive relationships with existing organisations in Australia’s Muslim community, we ensure that our community is always prepared to extend compassion and care during global emergencies.
