Your organisation’s waqf
An NFP Waqf is a permanent charitable endowment for your not-for-profit organisation. Contributions are invested, the capital is never spent, and returns can support your mission for generations.

For registered not-for-profit organisations looking to strengthen their long-term funding, alongside the work they do today.
A waqf is a permanent charitable endowment. Contributions are invested in line with Islamic principles. Only the returns are available to support your organisation’s agreed purpose; the capital itself is never spent.
Held for its charitable purpose. Never spent.
Retained within the waqf.
Distributed for the purpose you chose.
Establishing an endowment takes more than investing a donation. Awqaf provides the framework, people and ongoing administration behind your waqf.

Your waqf is a dedicated sub-fund of Awqaf Australia, with its own accounting, held separately from Awqaf Australia’s operating funds. Its purpose is written into an agreement, so it holds through every change of leadership.

An independent Investment Committee sets the strategy and oversees professional investment partners. A Shariah Committee makes sure every investment meets Islamic principles.

We handle compliance, reporting and distributions. You get your own donation page and a dashboard, plus the content and guidance to launch your campaign.

Your dashboard brings together contributions, recorded fund value and distributions. Reports help keep your board and your community informed.
From sharing knowledge to caring for people, these waqfs help carry their communities’ work into the future.
Supporting studio equipment, production infrastructure and training for the next generation of Muslim creators.

Created to sustain homelessness outreach, care packs and recovery programs delivered with community partners.

Supporting Quranic, Arabic and Islamic education, scholarships and the training of teachers.

Four tools. One permanent fund. The endowment is the destination. These are the tools that get you there.
Your own waqf, established as a dedicated sub-fund of Awqaf Australia.
Your own giving portal, a Patrons Program and support to fundraise formally. Supporters can give once or regularly.
A version of MuslimWills.com.au for your organisation, helping your supporters arrange a lasting gift through their will.
Guides, webinars and joint seminars for your board and community, helping supporters understand waqf and give with confidence.
