A clearer, more welcoming website
A refreshed public website helps visitors understand waqf and find the right way to give.
A consistent experience
The homepage, giving pages and information pages share a refreshed design, clearer navigation and layouts that adapt to phones and larger screens.
Giving options explained
Dedicated pages explain family funds, organisational funds, Forever Legacy gifts and community waqfs, helping visitors choose a path that suits them.
More useful information
Visitors can explore Awqaf’s approach, entities, investments, fees, resources and bequest guidance through the shared navigation.
Waqf stories brought together
Public waqf pages bring the fund’s story, images, fundraising progress and contribution options into one place. Staff and authorised fund owners can improve the story without rebuilding the page.
More flexible giving
Donors can make informed choices before confirming a contribution.
Give without creating an account
The guided donation process allows visitors to give as guests, with the option to access their records through an account later.
Support several waqfs
A contribution can be shared across selected waqfs, with the allocation shown before payment.
Clearer fees and contribution amounts
The payment summary explains the donation, applicable fees and the amount reaching the fund. Donors can choose whether to cover eligible costs.
Bank transfer instructions
Bank transfer giving includes the account details and payment references needed to identify the gift. A payment stays awaiting receipt until it is confirmed.
One-off and regular giving
Donors can choose from the giving schedules offered for their selected fund or programme, with clearer amounts when changing frequency.
Company gifts and dedications
Giving supports company details, gifts in honour or memory of someone, and a choice about public donor recognition.
A personal donor account
Donors have a place to return to after making a gift.
A view of giving history
The account brings together recorded contributions and lifetime giving, with individual donation details available to review.
Access to earlier contributions
Previous gifts associated with the verified account can be linked to the donor’s history, reducing the need to request records from staff.
Manage regular giving
Donors can view their recurring plans, payment history and available plan controls, including cancellation.
Documents in one place
A document library groups receipts, investment reports, impact reports, certificates and fund policies where these have been issued or shared.
Manage personal details
Donors can maintain their profile and access their account using an emailed verification code.
More contribution history
Waqf contribution lists can show more than the first five gifts. Names appear for non-anonymous donations, while private donation details remain accessible only to the donor.
Notifications within reach on mobile
The mobile account header keeps the notification bell beside the menu, with clearer contrast and without a duplicate bell in the welcome banner.
Clearer confirmations and receipts
Payment communications are easier to follow and retrieve.
Confirmation with the receipt attached
Confirmed gifts can be followed by a single donation confirmation containing the payment summary and receipt attachment.
Receipts reflect the receiving fund
Receipts distinguish between the receiving legal entities and the applicable tax treatment. Not every contribution is tax-deductible.
Annual giving summaries
Tax summary documents bring eligible recorded giving together for the financial year.
Better support when something goes wrong
Staff can resend receipts and inspect delivery or payment-processing issues, helping them resolve donor enquiries.
Establish and manage a waqf
Fund founders gain a guided application and ongoing management tools.
Guided waqf applications
Applicants can provide their fund details, intended causes and founding members through a step-by-step application.
A clear review process
Staff can review submissions, request changes, approve or decline applications, and notify applicants of the outcome.
Shared management
Invitations allow other people to take part in managing a waqf with the appropriate access. An invitation inbox brings pending invitations together.
Edit the public story
Authorised users can update the story and supporting images presented on the public waqf page.
Forever Legacy: a gift with a lasting purpose
A dedicated journey for establishing a waqf in honour or memory of someone.
Choose the purpose of the gift
Donors can browse legacy gift options by cause and see what each option is intended to support, alongside its contribution and setup amounts.
Fund the gift or raise towards it
A donor can fund the selected gift in full or begin a fundraising journey with an initial contribution. The amount due now and the remaining fundraising goal are calculated separately.
Understand what the amount covers
The gift summary separates the setup cost, endowment target and any initial charitable payment. This makes it easier to understand what is being established.
A page to share with others
The resulting waqf page brings together the dedication, story, images, giving options and progress towards its funding goal so others can contribute.
Keep the gift’s story current
Authorised users can update the story and images. Staff can maintain the legacy cause options and supporting information used in the gift journey.
Clearer progress and contribution choices
The public page distinguishes the amount raised from the target and offers relevant contribution amounts, helping visitors understand how they can support the gift.
Waqf handovers and donation transfers
Two distinct workflows help staff manage changes while retaining a record of what happened.
Invite new owners to accept responsibility
Administrators can select outgoing waqf owners and invite new owners. The handover takes effect through acceptance, rather than immediately removing the existing owners.
Choose whether previous owners retain access
The handover can retain outgoing owners as viewers. Staff can see its status and resend or cancel pending handover invitations.
Protect continuity of ownership
The handover checks that ownership has not changed since the review and prevents a transfer from leaving the fund without an owner.
Review eligible donations before moving them
Authorised administration and finance staff can review eligible donations for transfer into a waqf, select the records to move and confirm the reviewed selection.
Keep financial restrictions in place
Donation transfers check fund eligibility, available balances and the receiving legal entity. Gifts with investment holdings or other blocking conditions are held for further review.
Retain a transfer history
The platform records the source and destination of transferred donations and the staff action, providing a traceable explanation for changes to a fund’s records.
Groups and organisational programmes
Shared giving is supported alongside individual giving.
Waqf groups
Groups bring related waqfs together, with member invitations and access that reflects each person’s role.
Group updates and reports
Group activity updates and report documents help members follow the funds they are authorised to see.
Sustainability programmes
Participating organisations can have a dedicated programme page and giving journey, with content and access managed for that programme.
A clearer picture of endowment funds
Giving, invested value and available funds are shown as different things.
Contributions and value kept distinct
Fund views distinguish money contributed from the value of invested holdings and amounts awaiting investment.
Investment batches and dated values
Staff can manage investment batches and dated prices so fund valuations follow when money was invested.
Capital and available returns separated
Permanent endowment capital is accounted for separately from funds available for distribution.
Reports and supporting documents
Investment updates and fund reports can be shared with authorised members. Figures reflect the records and valuations available; they are not a promise of future returns.
Review before confirming an investment
Staff can preview an investment batch, its date, price and fund totals before confirming it. This makes the effect on individual funds visible before records change.
Review imported investment information
Dated price and investment information can be imported with a review of new, unchanged or invalid entries, helping staff identify problems before accepting them.
Record payments from fund growth
The investment workspace supports review of available growth and recording related grant payments. These records distinguish amounts distributed from permanent endowment capital.
See the basis of a valuation
Fund summaries and annual reports include the valuation date where available, so readers can distinguish a recorded value from today’s contribution total.
Better tools for the Awqaf team
Staff can handle more day-to-day work in one place.
Searchable donation and donor records
Staff can find contributions, inspect donor history, filter records and download donation information for operational review.
Record giving received elsewhere
Authorised staff can record eligible offline gifts and reconcile bank transfers, bringing these into the same donation records.
Manage funds and fundraising
Staff tools cover waqfs, causes, campaigns, charities and related records, including application reviews and fund ownership.
Zakat and Sadaqah distribution records
Staff can record payments made to charities and attach supporting evidence. Recording a distribution does not itself transfer money.
Manage communications and documents
Authorised staff can maintain email templates and document settings, rather than requesting a code change for every wording update.
Review activity and failed payments
Activity history and recurring-payment failure records help staff understand what happened and identify items needing attention.
A fuller picture when answering donor questions
A donor record brings together contact details, recent gifts, giving totals and regular giving information, with links into the relevant records.
Control who can establish a fund
Staff can review and grant or revoke a donor’s eligibility to establish a waqf, rather than relying only on an automatic giving threshold.
Follow payment exceptions through to resolution
Staff can inspect donation status, bank payment progress, refunds and recurring failures, making unresolved items visible instead of treating every attempted gift as received.
Reporting that explains the numbers
Reports are tied to recorded activity, with clearer periods, totals and supporting detail.
Download fund statements for a chosen period
Authorised users can generate waqf statements showing received contributions after fees and recorded grant payments within the selected dates.
Annual fund reports with valuation context
Annual reports can include the fund’s recorded current value and valuation date alongside activity for the reporting period.
Understand campaign performance
Campaign summaries show measures such as contributors and recurring giving. Staff can open the matching donation or recurring-plan list from a campaign summary to examine the underlying records.
Export the records being reviewed
Donation exports follow the selected filters. Larger downloads read the complete matching set rather than silently stopping at the first page of records.
Keep pending and test gifts out of received totals
Financial reporting distinguishes confirmed contributions from pending attempts. Fund statements exclude test gifts and removed records.
Group reporting without exposing donor identities
Group and fund reporting provides authorised members with financial information without turning a shared report into a list of private donor contact details.
Clear time periods and missing information
Reports use Sydney dates and identify the available valuation information. Missing figures are not presented as verified amounts simply to complete a report.
More connected and dependable records
The rebuild brings previously separate records into a shared platform.
Historical giving brought together
The migration brings website and offline donation history into the platform. Earlier records remain dependent on the information available from the source systems.
Clearer handling of payment exceptions
Pending payments, partial payments, overpayments and refunds have explicit handling, giving staff a clearer route to review exceptions.
Protection against duplicate processing
Payment processing includes safeguards against the same payment notification creating repeated financial records or sending duplicate receipts.
More accurate date filtering
Donation filters use Sydney calendar dates so contributions near the start or end of a day appear in the intended period.
Access based on responsibility
Donor and staff access is limited according to account ownership, fund membership and assigned responsibilities.
Donor privacy and responsible access
The rebuild adds practical controls over who can see information, make changes and support donors.
Private accounts and documents
Donation details and document downloads require the appropriate account or fund access. Knowing a document link is not enough to obtain someone else’s records.
Different permissions for different responsibilities
Owners, advisers and viewers have different fund permissions. Editing a public story, viewing financial information and managing people are treated as distinct responsibilities.
Review what a group will be able to see
Group-sharing reviews explain who will gain access and what their role allows before sharing is confirmed. A group role does not automatically make someone a direct waqf owner.
Controlled staff-only actions
Administrative access is checked before staff tools can be used. Sensitive actions, such as donation transfers and ownership handovers, have additional role requirements.
Support donors without changing their account
Authorised staff can open a read-only view of a donor’s account to understand what the donor sees. Changes are blocked while using that support view.
Trace important staff actions
Activity records help staff inspect who performed a recorded action, what it related to and when it occurred. Ownership handovers and financial changes retain supporting history.
Share fund information without opening private donation details
A fund view can show contribution activity while a donor’s own receipt and payment details remain separate from other people’s private donation records.
Availability and scope
These notes describe the V2 baseline. Individual services still depend on the relevant fund, programme and account permissions.
PayTo is conditional
Support for bank-authorised PayTo giving is included for supported journeys, but it must be enabled and approved for the relevant payment setup before donors can use it.
Grant applications are not included
The self-service grant application area is deferred and is not presented as an available V2 feature.
No automatic transfer to charities
Distribution records document payments made through the organisation’s payment process; they do not send money to a charity.
Historical figures have limits
Imported records and investment values depend on the supporting information available. This update does not certify historical balances or guarantee investment performance.
